NESPRESSO

I had the opportunity to pitch a global Nespresso project, competing with agencies on every continent. The objective was to pitch a strategy to motivate and educate all Nespresso employees around the world about their product. In order to make Nespresso a better company, the employees must be passionate and knowledgable about their product, but also have the freedom to contribute with their ideas on how to make the company stronger and better, together. In the end, my pitch won.

The strategy was based on four, quarterly phases; Motivate, Educate, Activate and Validate. I've already delivered the first phase, the reminding 3 phases are still on hold.

1 motivate

For this first phase we created a Comprehensive Poster Series, consisting of 21 poster designs, published and translated for target audiences in 27 countries. Each poster had a different visual metaphor representing one of the annual Nespresso NCE principles.

 

The main challenge was to create a universal message and image that’s easily identifiable and can be translated into 27 different languages. Color coding also played an integral role as each color represented one principle category.

2 educate

For the second phase, I set out to produce motivational videos to show and explain the importance of each employees day-to-day tasks and the impact those tasks have on the entire operation of the company. We called this, Nespresso as One. I prepared ideas for the intro video, storyboards, and infographic style of the training videos.

3 activate

How can you transmit everyday ideas and improve business at the end of the day? I designed the UX of the platform that can help all Nespresso employees share their daily ideas.
